Our high school internship program offers students the chance to experience zoo keeping by actively participating in every aspect of a Zoo’s operation. Students will be teamed up with a professional Zookeeper and go through the day to day experience of what it takes to run a zoo. Students will provide support to staff and enhance productivity and efficiency in animal care. This is a once in a lifetime chance to learn about these awesome creatures in their natural environment as well as their captive Zoo environment.

Are you a student enrolled in an animal related college curriculum and would like to gain experience in exotic animal care? Dade City’s Wild Things is accepting applications for internship programs at our Zoo. You must be enrolled in a college curriculum or have completed at least 2 years of college in biology, animal psychology, zoology, and wildlife management or any other animal related studies or 3 years of verifiable job experience in a related field.
